The Relay for Life is...
The ultimate community event! It's a family activity, and a "huge compassionate support group," where friends, family, and loved ones can come together to celebrate survivorship as well as memorialize those we have lost to cancer. It's a unique, challenging, and fun way to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. Special ceremonies, entertainment, and activities highlight the event.

Start raising money and sell luminarias!
During the luminaria ceremony, candles are placed in bags bearing the names of people who have had cancer. When lit, hundreds of luminarias (candle lanterns) brighten the way for Relay for Life walkers throughout the night.
To get luminaria forms and collection envelopes, either e-mail Nicole at mackenzy5068@yahoo.com, or attend the next Interact Club meeting on February 27, 2003 at the Putnam Public Library in the basement from 6:30-7:45.
