*Secretary's Report- Stephanie read the minutes from the last meeting.
*Treasurer's Report- None
*Icebreaker- Are you a Fin, Fowl, or Fang?
*Nicole's Proposed Project: Norm asked Rotary member Alan Bates, and brought a catalog to present the scratch card idea. There was a big discussion and we decided to do more research to find something closer to the donation card that Nicole first presented, due to issues with numbers, prices, and gambling.
*PIZZA!!!
*Opera New England: Volunteers signed up.
*Teen Senior Dance- The Transit bus company agreed to provide transportation free of charge! 2 thumbs up, Bill!! We are also free to advertise on the Putnam Access Channel. Laura and Steph will write an article for the "Putnam Town Crier." We have set up the following committees at a past meeting:
~Food: Laura, Amanda, Julie, Edgar, Kim
~Decorations: Kim, Judith, Travis, Max, Chris, Lauren, Nick, Annie, Edgar
~Paul will call for a DJ
~Laura will call to set radio date for WINY
~Laura, Kim and Edgar will go on radio
~Bill will call for Transit bus
~Nicole and Jesse will ride the bus
~Paul will do the invitations and Nicole will deliver them
~Julie will bring crowns and picture cutouts
*Relay for Life: Team sign-up sheet went around again as well as the T-shirt order form. There was a motion for the Club to provide the registration fee. All agreed. Laura will call other members to see if they are interested in being on the team. If you have any questions regarding the Relay, or would like to sign up, contact any of the team captains: Laura, Steph, or Nicole.
*Fan Collection: Correction: This was not an idea from Karen O. We still plan to do it though! Instead of using used fans, we will be buying new ones because injuries could occur. Judith and Lauren will write an article for hte "Putnam Town Crier."
*International Project: BRING PICTURES TO NEXT MEETING!!! This is when we will begin construction for the scrapbook. We discussed the following idea for a scrapbook at a previous meeting:
~Entertainment Business
~U.S. History
~Pictures of Different States
~Average Teen Culture
~School Systems
~Misconceptions/Stereotypes
~Interact Club and its Members
~Personal Pages
~Laura will write to Anagha and ask her what she would like to know about the U.S.
~Everyone should bring a picture of themselves and anything else that they would like to share with Anagha and her friends.
